New opportunities in Quartile 2
We're organizing exciting new opportunities in Quartile 2:
First of all, a new round of Introduction Fellowships will start. This is a five-week program that explores the core concepts and ideas related to effective altruism. We hope the fellowship will provide you with a framework for figuring out how you can make a difference in the world. Find out more here.
Are you excited to go in depth and learn more about the longterm future of humanity? We're starting a reading group about the book What We Owe the Future by Oxford professor of philosophy William MacAskill. This book is about longtermism, the idea that the long-term future matters and that influencing it positively is the most important moral project of our time. In this reading group, you will explore the case for longtermism and how to ensure we can safeguard the longterm future. Find out more here.
As always, we will keep organizing our informal social meetups. The next edition will be 1 November from 20:00 at Hubble Community Café.
