80,000 Hours
80,000 Hours provides research and support to help students and recent graduates switch into careers that effectively tackle the world’s most pressing problems. They offer online guides which cover their key ideas, such as how to compare careers in terms of impact, which global problems are most pressing, ideas for new high-impact career paths, and how to make a career plan. They also have a podcast with depth interviews about the world’s most pressing problems, and how you can help solve them. They have a job board with current opportunities to work on big and neglected problems and build skills, and they offer one-on-one advice.

EA Opportunities
The EA Opportunities Board regularly monitors and collects a wide range of opportunities, including internships, volunteer opportunities, conferences, and more. Their goal is to be the go-to board for people interested in exploring what they can do within the effective altruism community. Most of the opportunities featured are within EA organizations and initiatives, but they also feature entry-level opportunities from other organizations working on the most pressing problems. The EA Opportunity Board features opportunities that require less time or experience, while the 80,000 Hours Job Board focuses primarily on full-time positions.

Magnify Mentoring
Magnify Mentoring supports, inspires, and connects a global community of people who are motivated to have a positive impact with their careers and lives. Originally aimed exclusively at women, non-binary and trans people of all genders, since starting in 2019, they have grown to a global network of over 500 community members, spanning thirty-five countries, and all inhabited continents. Following the success of their first two years, they are piloting projects to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of expanding their services to support more people with mentorship, particularly those from traditionally underrepresented groups.

Effective Thesis is a project that aims to help students find thesis topics with high potential to improve the world, regardless of their location and degree level. They offer free coaching to help students develop thesis topic ideas, connect students with expert researchers, suggest potential supervisors, and find relevant opportunities for students such as funding and internships. Animal Advocacy Careers (ACC) is an organization that seeks to address the career and talent bottlenecks in the animal advocacy movement, especially the farmed animal movement. AAC provides career services for individuals at all levels of experience with animal advocacy.

Probably Good is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people maximize the positive impact of their careers. A lot of people want to do good with their careers and have a meaningful impact but still need help to figure out the best path for them. They use evidence, analysis, and expert opinion to help you find a career that works for you, and the rest of the world. They offer career guides, career path profiles, and personal career consultations.

High Impact Engineers aims to increase the quantity of impactful work done by physical engineers across the globe. They provide engineers with opportunities to come together, meet like-minded professionals, and collaborate on solutions to pressing problems. They provide resources tailored to engineers, a professional community, and matchmaking opportunities.
