Monday 4 July, we’re hosting a potluck to enjoy the summer vibes and end the academic year well together. Everyone can bring a dish of their own to share with others, so you can taste a lot of different foods and have nice conversations together! We'll provide some drinks, but please bring your own plate, cup, and utensils.

Ever wanted to donate to a charity, but you weren't sure where your money would do the most good? Or perhaps you have donated once or twice, but you felt discouraged by never seeing the impact of your donation?

We'll be donating real money to charities, and we need your help to decide which ones are the most effective, based on the effective altruism framework for effective giving.

Join us on March 16th for a joint debate night between both associations and a nice social afterward! Learn about interesting topics, meet people, and do some public speaking! This event is fully accessible to beginners.

On Wednesday, 8 February, Tobias Leenaert will come to the TU/e! Tobias Leenaert has been lecturing on veganism for several decades. He'll give a lunch lecture, in which he takes a closer look at the issue of animal welfare in our society and explains why it is one of the most important moral issues of our time. In addition, he will discuss what should or could be done to speed up solving this matter.

After the lecture, EA Eindhoven will host an extended Q&A and discussion about the most impactful things students and faculty at this university can do to tackle animal suffering. This includes the launch of the Eindhoven Alternative Protein Team, a new student initiative at TU/e that seeks to help enable this goal. In the evening, there will also be a dinner with the Vegan Student Association Eindhoven.

Effective Altruism Global x Rotterdam (EAGxRotterdam) on November 4-6 is going to be the biggest EA event in The Netherlands to date! It will bring together 600+ ambitious individuals that want to work on solving the world’s most pressing problems. This conference is the perfect opportunity to meet other people passionate about improving the world and develop new professional connections to accelerate your plans for a career that really makes a difference! There will be talks, workshops, discussion sessions and many opportunities to get in contact with attendees with similar interests.

At the application event, we will explain why we think that for many of you, EAGxRotterdam is probably the single most valuable EA-related opportunity in the coming years, answer all of your questions, submit our applications together and have a lot of fun anticipating the conference!
